Maximum transmission range is approximately 50 m, with a maximum altitude of 10 m. As there is no return-to-home (RTH) function, we recommend flying within visual range. For extended flight distance and advanced control features, consider exploring the HOVERAir X1 PRO / PROMAX.

13.Can I fly over water?

No. X1 is not designed to fly over water, cliffs, or terrain with indistinct ground textures, including when paired with the Beacon.

14.What happens when the battery is low without return to home (RTH)?

The Beacon will display “Low battery, initiating forced landing”, with voice announcement and vibration alert.


15.What if I exceed height or distance limits?

The Beacon will warn you that limits are reached; the drone will hover and refuse further forward motion.

16.Can I adjust gimbal pitch with Beacon?

Yes.

Disappointed – Not Suitable for Off-Road Use

The video quality is great, it's lightweight, and very easy to use. Downloading footage is quick and simple.

But for off-road or woodland use, it’s a letdown. There’s no collision avoidance — mine crashed into trees in fairly open woods, just like those shown in their ads/website. Took over 30 minutes to find it, and repairs weren’t covered by warranty.

Without obstacle detection or a recovery feature, it’s too risky for MTB or gravel riders. Really disappointed.

It’s a pocket size drone with absolutely great quality of photo/video, very light. I like it and definitely would recommend it as a first drone.

Do not buy from here!!! If you really want a hoverair (which is quite a disappointing build), get it from somewhere like Amazon so you can return it.

This website promises a 15day return guarantee but they make it impossible to contact them to return the item.

Not as fast as it should be-

First off I bought this to film some mountain bike sessions at the bike park. I did my research and thought this is the thing. . .
Out of the box, it is really easy to work; the app lends itself to helping you fly the drone and the picture quality for this was incredibly good. I think if you are a pro you might not think so, but for me it was impressive. The sound feature though works from your phone mic and so if you are moving expect noise.

I tried this out on a short jump line, and it got very confused very quickly. I wasn't quite fast enough and got confused between me and other riders and trees. I tried it again in a much more open space and had similar problems. I had assumed it would track my phone but it didn't.

If you are after a camera that will cover static and a jog, it is great, but sadly it didn't make anything at a quicker pace.

Maybe the Pro version would do this, it was quite out of my budget, and the sales team weren't about to make any offers.
